George McGinsie – Founder and Principal

As Founder and principal, George brings more than 30 years of Life changing and Meaningful relationships with Independent and Captive Producers.  George is highly respected in and has received numerous awards and accolades from Major Life Insurance Company’s by growing their distribution and while serving his clients.  He has dedicated his time and life, in the field by helping producers with an expertise in conceptual sales and partnering opportunities.  George is a devoted family man and enjoys spending time with this wife and four sons.  He has a passion for coaching and training youth with extensive experience coaching high school level athletes, some of which play at major college universities today.

Derek Buffo – Director of Client Services

As a graduate of Colorado Technical University’s Business Management Program, he enjoys all things business.  Derek began working with Blue Chip over 10 years ago after relocating his family to Michigan.  Derek has also spent time working in the education sector which gives him the ability to explain sophisticated concepts and strategies to our clients in a way that is easy to understand and learn.  He has a passion for making sure that when both clients and agents work with us, that they fully understand a product and will take as much time as needed to ensure that happens with each client.  He also handles all of the internal support for our team of agents, policy processing and ensures the new agent contracting process runs smoothly.  Derek and his wife have 3 boys and are very active in the local community in which they live.  He enjoys all things outdoors and has a passion for golf, fishing and hunting.
